01About this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Dimmer Tech Apps (“DimmerTech,” “we,” or “us”) handles information in connection with our website at dimmertech.app and our software applications, StageEye and RigLoop (together, the “Software”). It applies to visitors of our website and to people who download, license, or use the Software.

02Our core privacy commitments

These commitments describe how the Software is built, and they sit at the heart of everything below:

• Your content stays with you. StageEye receives, transcodes, and displays your camera (RTSP) streams entirely within your own local network. RigLoop records and plays back DMX/sACN lighting data on your own machine. Your video, camera feeds, recordings, and show files are never transmitted to, collected by, or stored by us.
• No remote access. The Software does not give us — or anyone else — remote access to your computers, your network, or to StageEye or RigLoop. There is no remote-control feature, no screen sharing, and no concealed backdoor.
• No tracking inside the apps. The Software does not include advertising SDKs, behavioral analytics, or telemetry that profiles you or reports your usage back to us.
• Offline by design. StageEye is built to run fully offline. The single, narrow exception — license verification — is described next, and it never involves your content.

03Licensing and limited network use

To protect our software and confirm that a license is valid, the Software and our website's download page may communicate with our licensing provider, Keygen. This communication is limited strictly to license management and transmits only:

• the license key you were issued, and
• a device fingerprint — a one-way technical identifier derived from the device's hardware that ties a license to a device. It is not your name and does not, by itself, tell us who you are.

It never transmits your video, camera feeds, recordings, files, project data, or show data. StageEye licenses issued as offline keys or on a USB dongle are verified locally on your device, with no network connection at all.

04Information we collect through the website

• Messages you send us. If you contact us through a form or by email, we collect what you provide — such as your name, email address, organization, and message — so we can respond.
• License validation. When you enter a license key on our Downloads page, we send that key to Keygen to confirm it is valid before unlocking a download. We do not store the key on the website.
• Automatic technical logs. Our hosting provider, Netlify, automatically records standard server logs — such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps — to operate and secure the site.
• Cookies and tracking. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this website. Any access password used during a private preview relies on a standard browser authentication mechanism, not tracking cookies.

05How we use information

We use the limited information we collect only to: respond to your inquiries and provide support; issue, validate, and manage licenses; operate, maintain, and secure our website and Software; and comply with our legal obligations. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

06Service providers we rely on

We keep our stack small and share only what each provider needs to do its job:

• Netlify — website hosting and delivery (processes standard server logs).
• Keygen — license issuance and validation (processes license keys and device fingerprints).
• Google Fonts — serves the typefaces used on this site; your browser requests font files from Google, which may receive your IP address as part of delivering them.

These providers process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

07How information is shared

We do not sell or trade your personal information. We share information only with the service providers listed above, where we are legally required to do so (for example, to comply with a lawful request), or where reasonably necessary to protect our rights, our users, or the public.

08Data retention

We keep messages you send us only as long as needed to handle your request and for reasonable follow-up. License records are kept for the life of the license and as needed for support, renewals, and legal or accounting requirements. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider for a limited period.

09Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information, including cryptographically signed licenses and encrypted (HTTPS) connections to our website. No system is perfectly secure — but because our Software keeps your content on your own equipment, the most sensitive material, your footage and show data, never sits on our systems at all.

10Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information — such as the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict it, or to object to certain processing. Because we do not sell personal information, there is nothing to opt out of on that front. To make a request, email us at privacy@dimmertech.app and we will respond as required by applicable law.

11Children's privacy

Our website and Software are intended for production professionals and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12International users

We operate from, and our service providers process data in, the United States and other countries. If you use our website or Software from another region, you understand that your information may be processed where we and our providers operate.

13Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top, and for material changes we will take reasonable steps to make the update noticeable.
